Tips for creating branded content

The term branded content gets thrown around a lot these days. But make no mistake there’s an art to creating branded content, which customers will take the time to download. We’re all sold to on some level all day, so at AKA Creative, we strive to create branded content which tells a story, and engages the audience, rather than a direct ‘hard sell’.

5 Tips to creating branded content

  • It’s not about the hard sell; find the ‘story’ that will connect with the audience. Once they’ve connected they’re more likely to listen to the ‘sell’ when it comes.
  • Don’t try to do everything in the one video – do one-thing well not 10 things badly
  • Just because they’re your CEO/COO/CFO they might not be the best front man/woman for the video you’re creating.
  • What does success look like? Are you selling or educating? Know where you want to end before you start.
  • Don’t skimp – if a job is worth doing its worth doing well. If your branded content doesn’t look the goods, why would a customer internal or external entrust their product, cash or reputation with you? It’s an investment, do it right or don’t do it at all.
